Introducing: Heritage Works
Heritage Works, an exciting new venture between Xentek Motorsport and JDA Customs, is ready to establish itself as a leading force in historic racing in 2027 and beyond.
Bringing together the combined skills and expertise of championship-winning squad Xentek and accomplished racer James Dorlin, the new collaboration sees Heritage Works offer a new and unique arrive and drive experience in a blossoming motorsport discipline.
Xentek have established themselves as a leading team in domestic one-make GT racing over the last decade. One of the most successful teams in Ginetta championships history with ten titles to their name, they have also enjoyed championship glory in the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB.
Dorlin, director of JDA Customs, has enjoyed great success in both modern and historic machinery. A champion in both GT and tin-top racing, Dorlin also has a decade of historic competition under his belt, with numerous race wins including two victories in the prestigious St Mary’s Trophy at the Goodwood Revival.
Heritage Works will offer a wide range of services for classic car and historic motorsport enthusiasts. Alongside running a dedicated, prestigious racing experience with a professional setup, exclusive hospitality, driver tuition and high-level engineers, they will provide testing opportunities, arrive and drive packages, event support, car restoration and maintenance.
The team, which will be based in Yorkshire, is set to deliver the most convenient racing service in the sector. Alongside supporting owners competing in their prized cars, they will be offering non-owners the chance to rent race-ready cars and facilitate their motorsport passion without the need to purchase a car themselves. A full line-up of cars will be announced in due course.
Heritage Works will run in a technical partnership with West Riding Race & Restoration. The new team will take on and support the motorsport operations of West Riding, whilst benefitting from the established outfit’s wealth of experience and expertise in historic racing and classic restorations. They will also serve as lead engine and parts supplier, with their proven, race-winning Jaguar engines.
The new venture will see Heritage Works competing in the flagship historic race events in the UK and Europe, including the likes of the Goodwood Revival and Member’s Meeting, the BRDC Classic at Silverstone and Donnington Historic Festival.
The team will be present at the Goodwood Revival this weekend (18-20 September) and will be available to speak to interested parties. Dorlin meanwhile has been invited to drive in the St Mary’s Trophy behind the wheel of a 1960 Jaguar Mk2.
