Ryan Hadfield Joins Xentek for GT5 Challenge Showdown

Ryan Hadfield will make a one-off return to the Protyre Motorsport Ginetta GT5 Challenge later this month (22 – 23 September) as he joins the Xentek team for this season’s grand finale at Donington Park.

Hadfield is no stranger to the GT5 Challenge, having contested three consecutive seasons between 2015 and 2017 and finishing third overall in 2016. He has fond memories of Donington Park too, taking a pair of wins here in the past.

The 21-year-old from Buxton, Derbyshire will replace series regular, Sami Saarelainen, who is unable to make the season showdown due to commitments with the National Air Force. He joins the team’s regular line-up, Ashley Marshall and Matthew Rainbow, for what promises to be an action-packed series finale at Donington Park.

Ryan Hadfield: “I’m really looking forward to being back in the Ginetta GT5 Challenge for the final round of 2018, and I’m excited to be working with Xentek. I will be joining some familiar faces on the grid so I’m looking forward to having some of the old rivalry come back to life.

I’ve had some really good results previously at Donington and I am looking to carry the same success into the race weekend. Having raced previously against the championship contenders, James Kellett and Shane Stoney, I am sure we will put on a great show.”

The action gets underway with qualifying at 09:10 on Saturday 22nd September with race one starting at 14:45. Two further races take place on Sunday 23 September, starting at 12:10 and 17:00 respectively.

Live timing and race results from across the weekend can be found at whilst both Sunday races will be streamed live on the Ginetta Facebook Page.
