Xentek Motorsport have confirmed their third driver for the 2026 Porsche Sprint Challenge GB, with Alister Weston joining the team for his second season in the championship.

The South Yorkshire team head into the new season full of momentum. They secured their maiden Porsche championship title with the Clubsport Am honours last year, alongside their breakthrough overall race victories and pole position.

Formerly a motorcycle racer, Weston made his car-racing debut in the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB last season. Piloting an eye-catching dinosaur-liveried Cayman GT4, he produced some impressive performances in the competitive Clubsport Am category.

The Kent-based racer enjoyed a fantastic start, securing a breakthrough class podium finish in only his second event at his home circuit of Brands Hatch. He went on to finish fourth in the final points standings in the Clubsport Am class.

Weston is the third driver to be announced for Xentek Motorsport’s impressive line-up this season, joining multiple overall race-winner Sam Harvey and talented newcomer James Seale. The 2026 season gets underway at Donington Park over the weekend of 18/19 April.

Sarah-Jayne McKenna - Team Manager: “Alister is a fantastic addition to our line-up for the 2026 Porsche Sprint Challenge GB. We had some great battles against him last season in Clubsport Am and he made great progress in his first year of car-racing.

“Alister heads into the new season with clear ambitions and we are confident we can supply the tools and support he needs to achieve those. We are looking forward to the season ahead and hope to enjoy some podium celebrations with Alister.”

Alister Weston: “Joining Xentek Motorsport is a fantastic step for me and something I’m really proud of as I prepare for the 2026 season. The team has a great reputation for professionalism and performance, so to be working alongside people with that level of expertise is incredibly motivating.

“For me, this partnership is about pushing performance to the next level. Motorsport is all about marginal gains, and having the right support behind you can make a real difference over the course of a season. Xentek’s focus on high standards and results aligns perfectly with the mindset you need as a racing driver.

“Looking ahead to 2026, my ambition is clear — to be consistently fighting at the front of my class and to keep developing as a driver every time I get in the car. The championship is extremely competitive, but that’s exactly what makes it so exciting.

“With the backing of Xentek and my sponsors, I’m confident we can make the 2026 season a really strong one and build something special together.”

Launched in 2020, the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB is one of the top one-make GT championships in the UK. The series utilises two-generations of Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 machinery, Clubsport and RS, with a bumper grid including classes for both Professional and Amateur drivers.

The 2026 Sprint Challenge GB season will be contested over 18 races across six events, all of which will take place on the support package of the British Touring Car Championship.
