Xentek Motorsport are set to embark on their 13th consecutive season of one-make Ginetta racing this season, with Alex Duncan reuniting with the team for his second year in the Protyre Motorsport Ginetta GT Championship.

The South Yorkshire outfit are one of the most successful teams in the history of Ginetta competition. Since making their debut in 2014, they have won no less than ten championship titles across the domestic series', including winning the Teams’ title in the GT Championship in 2023.

Duncan linked up with Xentek Motorsport for his car-racing debut last season with three years of karting experience under his belt. The young talent, who turns 19 tomorrow (26 March), produced an impressive maiden campaign in the GT Championship behind the wheel of a V8-powered, 390bhp Ginetta G56 GTP8.

The Scotland-based racer secured seven podium finishes in the competitive PRO-AM class, including a memorable breakthrough victory at Brands Hatch, and a best overall race result of fifth. With that experience under his belt, Duncan will now step-up to the PRO category for the 2026 season.

Sarah-Jayne McKenna - Team Manager: “We’re really pleased to have Alex back with us for his second season in the Ginetta GT Championship. He put in some fantastic performances behind the wheel of the G56 GTP8 last year and secured some richly deserved podium finishes. With that experience under his belt, we’re confident he can have an even more successful season in 2026.”

Alex Duncan: “2025 was my first year in car racing so it was a steep learning curve to compete in the Ginetta GT Championship. Xentek gave me fantastic technical support and driver coaching which really helped me improve during my rookie year, achieving quite a few podiums in the PRO-AM class. My goals for 2026 are to continue developing as a racing driver to pursue a career in GT racing.”

The Protyre Motorsport Ginetta GT Championship is the pinnacle of the Ginetta UK racing ladder. The ultra-competitive series offers exhilarating one-make GT racing for aspiring professional drivers and serves as an ideal stepping stone into domestic and global GT competition.

The 2026 championship will be contested across six events, with five outings alongside the British GT Championship and a standalone Ginetta event at Croft. Every race is set to be streamed live for free on SRO’s GT World YouTube channel.
