Xentek Motorsport and Sam Harvey will be continuing their successful partnership into a third year in 2024 as the teenage talent makes the step up to the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB for the upcoming season.
Harvey linked up with the South Yorkshire team for the first time back in 2022 for a two-year programme in the Ginetta GT5 Challenge, growing from a driver with no previous racing experience to becoming a regular podium finisher in the championship.
The Sutton Coldfield-based racer, who picked up 13 trophies across the 2024 campaign, will continue his driver development this year as he campaigns a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport in the ultra-competitive Sprint Challenge GB.
The 19-year-old - a member of the coveted Motorsport UK Academy Futures programme - has produced impressive pace through his pre-season testing programme so far, as he builds up to making his Porsche debut at Snetterton next month (25/26 May).
Sarah-Jayne McKenna – Team Manager: “We really enjoyed racing with Sam in the Ginetta GT5 Challenge, so we’re delighted that he has chosen to stay with us for his transition to Porsche. He’s shown great pace in pre-season testing, so we’re excited to see what he can achieve this year.”
Sam Harvey: “I’m delighted to have the opportunity to drive for Xentek Motorsport again this season and represent them in the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB. I’d like to thank them and all of my sponsors for helping make this a reality and I can’t wait to get started.”
The 2024 Porsche Sprint Challenge GB will be contested over 18 races across six events, all of which will take place on the support package of the British Touring Car Championship.
