Reigning Porsche Sprint Challenge GB class champions Xentek Motorsport will be returning for a fourth consecutive season in the championship in 2026, with teenage talent James Seale their first confirmed driver for next year.

The South Yorkshire team have made fantastic progress in the Sprint Challenge GB over the years and a sensational 2025 campaign saw them secure a maiden one-make Porsche class title and their first overall race victories.

Full of confidence after the superb season, the team are determined to reach new heights again as they return to the grid in 2026. They are set to battle it out for success in both the RS and Clubsport classes again with a multi-car entry.

Seale makes the step up to the Sprint Challenge GB following a sensational start to his car-racing career this year. In his first season of competition, the 17-year-old rising star was crowned the rookie champion in the Kent Models Mazda MX-5 Championship.

The Hampshire-based talent, who is the grandson of experienced GT racer John Seale, scored a best race result of fourth overall and impressively finished inside the top ten in over 60% of the races. With that experience under his belt, he’ll make the transition to Porsche racing in the RS category.

Christopher Richards – Team Principal: “2025 was a special season for the team in the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB and we’re delighted to be returning to the grid next year. James [Seale] is an exciting signing for us, he produced some great results in his first season of racing and we’re confident that with our support, he can enjoy a successful debut year in the Cayman.”

James Seale: “The Porsche Sprint Challenge GB is truly an opportunity of a lifetime. I am very lucky to have the chance to show people what I can achieve and have the chance to push myself in a quicker, more complicated race car. I am really looking forward to making memories with everyone at Xentek Motorsport and I hope this is the start of my dream!”

Launched in 2020, the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB is one of the top one-make GT championships in the UK. The series utilises two-generations of Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 machinery, Clubsport and RS, with a bumper grid including classes for both Professional and Amateur drivers.

The 2026 Sprint Challenge GB season will be contested over 18 races across six events, all of which will take place on the support package of the British Touring Car Championship. The season gets underway at Donington Park over the weekend of 18/19 April.
