Xentek Motorsport added two more great class victories to their 2026 tally in the Protyre Motorsport Ginetta GT Championship after a fantastic performance from Alex Duncan across the Ginetta Festival at Croft (27/28 June).

Alongside twice emerging victorious in the competitive AM class, Duncan also picked up a third-place finish overall. That was Xentek Motorsport’s 30th overall top three result in the GT Championship, breaking the record for the most achieved by a team in the series.

The third round of the GT Championship season saw the South Yorkshire team make the short trip north to Croft, near Darlington, for a busy weekend of competition. The Ginetta Festival weekend featured a qualifying session and two races each day, with Duncan ready for the challenge ahead.

The Scotland-based racer got off to a perfect start in qualifying on Saturday, going quickest in the AM class for the first time as he secured a double pole position. The opening race began with him being pushed wide at the first corner, but he fought back well to second in class.

The first corner went smoothly second time round though and he emerged in a brilliant second overall. Impressively holding off the PRO class championship leader for a number of laps, he eventually dropped behind him but remained third overall at the chequered flag for the AM victory.

After going second quickest in class in Sunday’s qualifying session, Duncan replicated that result in the first race of the day. The 19-year-old went one better in the final race of the weekend though after pulling off a crucial move on lap one, netting his fourth win of the season to retain his AM class championship lead.

Xentek Motorsport were also competing in the Ginetta Junior Championship powered by Sunoco Race Fuels at Croft, as part of their continued partnership with Paradine Competition. Vicky Farfus was in action during that event and put in a strong performance across four action-packed races.

The Brazilian teenager, daughter of GT racing star Augusto Farfus, made forward progress in both of Saturday’s races to secure a pair of points finishes. Another points-scoring result followed on Sunday, ultimately securing a best result of 17th across the weekend.

The Juniors were back in action this past weekend (11/12 July) too at Zandvoort in the Netherlands, with Farfus joined by her regular team-mate Samuel Del Gaudio. Farfus put in her best drive of the season so far as she charged forward from 19th on the grid to 12th in race one, while Del Gaudio secured a points finish in race two.

Sarah-Jayne McKenna – Team Manager: “It was another brilliant performance from Alex at Croft. He’s just getting better and better each race weekend and once again was up there fighting with some of the leading PRO class drivers, including going toe-to-toe with the championship leader.

“Two class wins and a couple of second place finishes is great consistency across a tricky weekend with high temperatures and a lot of sessions to negotiate. As a team, to get the record for the most podium finishes in the GT Championship is a great feeling and testament to the brilliant work of our team members and drivers over the years.

“We’re enjoying being part of the Ginetta Junior paddock again this season with two great young drivers. Vicky continues to come on leaps and bounds, and it was mega to see her on the fringes of the top ten at Zandvoort, while Samuel is making strong progress too and adding points to his tally.”

Xentek Motorsport return to Porsche Carwow Sprint Challenge GB action at Knockhill (08/09 August), before the next round of the Ginetta UK Championships take place at Snetterton a week later (15/16 August).
