Xentek Motorsport Score Ginetta And Porsche Victories At Oulton Park

Xentek Motorsport have continued their impressive start to the 2026 race season with brilliant class victories in both the Protyre Motorsport Ginetta GT Championship and Porsche Carwow Sprint Challenge GB across back-to-back events at Oulton Park.

The South Yorkshire team celebrated a second AM class win of the GT Championship season as part of a superb podium hat-trick from Alex Duncan, before James Seale secured a brilliant double RS Am class win in only his second weekend in the Sprint Challenge GB.

Full of confidence after seeing Duncan secure a class win and a best-ever result of third overall on the opening weekend at Silverstone, Xentek Motorsport headed into the second round of the Ginetta GT Championship season (23-25 May) looking to celebrate more silverware in the ultra-competitive series.

The ten-time Ginetta champions got off to a strong start as Duncan qualified third fastest within the AM category. There was frustration at the start of race one though, as contact from behind spun him round and dropped him to the back of the field.

The Scotland-based talent picked his way through the slower GT Academy class cars, before a safety car helped him close on to the tail of his class rivals. He made further progress in the closing laps, securing a second-place result in the AM class.

Duncan carried the momentum from that result into race two, impressively grabbing the AM lead on the opening lap. He went on to hold it from start-to-finish for a brilliant second class win of the season, and he almost secured his third in the final race.

Staying out of trouble through the first corner as others ahead made contact, he stormed through to second place overall. From there, a composed drive saw him keep a number of PRO class runners behind him to the finish, however a time penalty for track limits sadly denied him class victory and dropped him to second.

Xentek Motorsport also continued their partnership with Paradine Competition in the Ginetta Junior Championship powered by Sunoco Race Fuels at Oulton. Vicky Farfus impressively fought her way into the top ten battle in the opening race and secured a hard-fought points finish over the weekend, while Samuel Del Gaudio impressed with his best result of the season so far in 17th.

Sarah-Jayne McKenna – Team Manager: “We couldn’t be prouder of Alex’s performances at Oulton Park. He showed great resilience in race one, keeping calm after being hit at the first corner and fighting back well to a podium finish. It just got better from there as well.

“He was faultless in race two as he added another class win to his tally, which his drive in the final race was just fantastic. To be holding off a number of higher class drivers was brilliant and we’re gutted the track limits penalty took away a win he deserved. It takes nothing away from a special weekend for him though.

“The Ginetta Junior races were some of the most action-packed and chaotic we’ve seen so far this season. Vicky really impressed to climb up into the top ten battle in race one and just some bad luck cost her more points, while Samuel deserves his first points finish after working really hard so far this season.”

Xentek Motorsport returned to Cheshire two weeks’ later (06/07 June) for the second round of the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB season. Their regular drivers Sam Harvey, James Seale and Alister Weston were joined for the event by Porsche debutant Felix Livesey, who previously raced with the team in Ginetta Juniors in 2023.

After earmarking himself as a podium contender in the RS Am class on his Porsche debut at Donington, Seale produced an exceptional performance at Oulton Park. One of the keys to his weekend was qualifying, when he got onto slick tyres at the right time on a drying circuit.

The 18-year-old talent ended up securing a double RS Am pole position in the top four overall. After netting a maiden podium finish in race one, he produced a perfect performance on Sunday with two dominant lights-to-flag class victories and fourth place finishes overall in front of the live ITV4 cameras.

Harvey returned to the scene of his first overall podium finishes in the championship last year determined for a big points-scoring weekend, having shown leading pace with an overall pole position and top three result during the season opener at Donington Park back in April.

Unfortunately, the former Ginetta racer was unlucky in the changing conditions in qualifying and ended up out of position for the races. A great drive in the opener saw him gain four positions en-route to fourth overall, however a time penalty in race two and contact in race three left him down the order.

Jumping into a Porsche for the first time with a view to a potential move to the series in the future, Livesey put in an incredibly impressive debut. The current Ginetta GT front-runner put in three confident drives on his way to a hat-trick of RS Pro top six finishes, with a best result of fifth overall in the final race.

Weston meanwhile built on a strong start at Donington with a great Oulton weekend. Qualifying third fastest in the Clubsport class, he converted that into a richly-deserved first podium finish of the season in race one. He went on to add a fourth place class finish on Sunday.

Christopher Richards – Team Principal: “What an incredible performance from James! He was on the right tyres when it mattered in qualifying and took full advantage in the races. To record his first class pole, podium and win in one weekend is great, while to do it finishing in the top four overall makes it even more special.

“It was an incredibly frustrating weekend for Sam. He was one of the unlucky ones in qualifying and that put him on the back foot for the races. He got a strong result in race one, but luck was against him on Sunday. He’ll put this weekend behind him though and we're sure he’ll be back at the front at Knockhill.

“It was great to work with Felix again. He’s established himself as a quick GT racer in Ginetta’s and he used that experience this weekend. He was going toe-to-toe with drivers that have over a year of experience in these cars and came away with three brilliant race results.

“Alister was unlucky to miss out on a podium at Donington, so we’re delighted he got to enjoy that moment this weekend. He was consistently in the battle for the top three in Clubsport through the event and we’re sure this is going to be the first of many podiums this season.”

The 2026 Ginetta UK Championships season continues at the end of the month (27/28 June) at Croft, while the Porsche Carwow Sprint Challenge GB returns to action at Knockhill in nine weeks’ time (08/09 August).
