Xentek Motorsport Collect Five Podium Haul At Croft
Xentek Motorsport have enjoyed a return to form in the Porsche Carwow Sprint Challenge GB, kicking off the second half of the 2026 season with a haul of five class podium finishes at Croft (05-06 September).
The South Yorkshire team made the short trip north to the Dalton-On-Tees circuit with their full entry of four Porsche 718 Cayman GT4’s, with former overall race-winner Sam Harvey joined by fellow Ginetta graduate Felix Livesey, James Seale and Alister Weston.
Harvey headed to Croft looking to make a return to the overall podium, and he was right on the front-running pace from the off. Lapping fourth fastest in free practice, he replicated that performance in qualifying to put himself in contention for silverware across the three 20-minute races.
After seeing a potential third place finish get taken away by a post-race penalty in the opening race, it was second time lucky for Harvey as he came home third in race two. He ended up saving the best until last, with a slick lap one move netting him second position and a third podium finish of 2026.
Seale continued his impressive debut Porsche campaign in North Yorkshire. A track limits penalty cost him a race one podium in the RS AM class, but he hit back in style with a superb charge from seventh in class to second in race two. The 18-year-old went on to repeat that result to sign off the weekend with a sixth podium of the year.
Livesey’s brilliant start to his Porsche career continued with three more strong results at Croft. Some brilliant overtaking moves and consistent pace across the weekend netted him a pair of overall top six finishes, as he set the pace amongst the championship’s ‘Talent Pool’ entries.
Weston meanwhile made a welcome return to the Clubsport class podium, to add to his previous silverware from Oulton Park. An opening lap move in race one was the decisive moment en-route to a third-place result, which he followed up with a couple of fourths over the rest of the event.
Christopher Richards – Team Principal: “After a tough trip to Knockhill, it was great to see all of our drivers enjoy a much more positive run this time out. Five podium finishes from one event is our best return of the season so far, and it’s a testament to the hard work of everyone in the team.
“Both Sam and James were unlucky to lose podiums to penalties in race one, but they bounced back really well to pick up a couple of trophies each after that. Alister deserved to get back on the podium, while Felix is getting closer to the leading pack and within reach of some silverware.”
The 2026 Porsche Carwow Sprint Challenge GB season continues later this month, with the penultimate round taking place at Silverstone on the National circuit (26/27 September).
