Xentek Motorsport have added to their podium tallies in the Protyre Motorsport Ginetta GT Championship and Porsche Carwow Sprint Challenge GB across two action-packed summer events in recent weeks.

The South Yorkshire team made the trip to Snetterton in Norfolk to kick off the second half of the Ginetta GT Championship season (15-16 August). Alex Duncan headed into the event in the AM class championship lead, having secured four class wins and a 100% podium record to date.

In heatwave conditions, Duncan got off to a fantastic start with the ten-time Ginetta champions at Snetterton. Going fastest of the AM contenders across two days of pre-event testing, he backed that up by securing the class pole position for the second time this season.

A grid penalty put the Scotland-based talent third at the start of the opening race, and he went on to replicate that result at the chequered flag. Lining up one position higher for race two, he ran there throughout the 11-lap contest to score another crucial podium result.

Duncan went on to complete his top three hat-trick in the final outing, with a superb overtaking move on rival James Nicholas netting him another second-place result. The weekend’s results mean he remains right in the title fight heading into the last six races of the season.

Xentek Motorsport also continued their partnership with Paradine Competition in the Ginetta Junior Championship powered by Sunoco Race Fuels at Snetterton. Vicky Farfus produced her best all-round weekend of 2026 so far, with a hat-trick of points finishes including a brilliant charge from 19th on the grid to a seasons’ best 11th place finish in the opening race.

Sarah-Jayne McKenna – Team Manager: “Alex was fantastic over the first half of the 2026 Ginetta season and he continued that through the Snetterton weekend. He was bang on the pace from the start and it was great to see him go quickest in the class in qualifying again.

“It was a shame he couldn’t quite get in the fight for the class victories, but getting three more podiums under his belt is a great weekend and adds a healthy total to his points tally. He’s right in the mix with two rounds to go, so we’ll do everything possible to give him the tools needed to fight for the title.

“Vicky is continuing to make great progress every weekend in the Juniors and this was probably her best performance to date. She was mature and composed in a chaotic first race to climb up to 11th and added two more strong results on Sunday, so she should be proud of her efforts.”

The weekend prior (08-09 August), Xentek Motorsport had made the long trip north of the border to Knockhill in Scotland for the third round of the 2026 Porsche Sprint Challenge GB. Their regular drivers Sam Harvey, James Seale and Alister Weston were joined by returnee Felix Livesey.

Seale headed into the event off the back of an exceptional performance at Oulton Park last time out, where he secured his maiden RS Am class pole positions and race victories. He got off to a strong start in Scotland, qualifying third in class to put himself in podium contention from the off.

The 18-year-old talent impressed in race one, fighting forward into the class lead early on and eventually securing a brilliant fourth podium finish of the season. After early contact derailed race two for him, he pulled off some superb overtakes in race three to move up from seventh to fourth.

Harvey returned to the scene of an overall podium finish last year looking to secure more front-running results. Qualifying a great third fastest overall, he put in a consistent performance across the three 20-minute sprint races to secure a hard-fought trio of top five finishes and a good haul of points.

Extending his Porsche programme by three more rounds following an impressive debut at Oulton Park, Livesey put in a competitive performance in the races. First lap contact took him out of contention in the opener, but he fought back well to a pair of seventh place finishes on Sunday.

It unfortunately proved to be a frustrating weekend for Weston meanwhile. A component failure outside of the team’s control ruled him out of race one before it started and there was further disappointment in the final race, but in-between he was able to score a strong fourth place class finish.

Christopher Richards – Team Principal: “It didn’t end up being the weekend we’d hoped for unfortunately. All four of our drivers showed promising progress across testing and things were feeling positive ahead of the weekend, but a number of issues went against us in the races.

“James produced superb pace again, leading the class in race one and fighting through from the back in race three. With luck in his favour, he could have walked away with a hat-trick of podium finishes. Sam had the potential for trophies too and it was narrow margins that meant he missed out.

“Felix was up there battling with the established drivers again on pace and as he gains track time in the car, he’s got podium potential for sure. Alister battled hard all weekend and we’re confident he’s going to pick up more trophies as the season goes on.”

Xentek Motorsport’s 2026 season continues with a busy double-header weekend (05/06 September), with the Ginetta UK Championships competing at Donington Park and the Porsche Carwow Sprint Challenge GB in action at Croft.
