Xentek Motorsport have brought the 2026 Porsche Carwow Sprint Challenge GB season to a close with a brilliant haul of five class podium finishes across the final two rounds at Silverstone and Brands Hatch in recent weeks.

Bringing the current era of the Sprint Challenge GB to a close, with the current Porsche 718 Cayman GT4’s being replaced by brand-new Porsche 911 Challenge cars next season, the South Yorkshire team enjoyed a superb conclusion courtesy of standout performances from James Seale.

The 18-year-old talent has enjoyed a hugely impressive first season of Porsche competition. Establishing himself as a front-runner in the RS AM class from the off, he secured a brilliant pair of class victories in only his second event at Oulton Park.

Seale put in a great performance at Silverstone as he secured another pair of class podium finishes, before going one better at Brands Hatch. Starting off with his third class win of the season in race one, he went on to complete a top three hat-trick to finish the year with 11 podiums to his name.

In the lead RS Pro class, Sam Harvey unfortunately endured a tougher end to the campaign than deserved. At Silverstone, the scene of his and the team’s first overall Sprint Challenge GB last year, he battled hard to net a pair of overall top six finishes. He added another in the Brands opener.

Cruelly, his season came to an abrupt halt in race two in Kent. Contact from behind sent him into the barriers at high-speed, causing extensive damage to his Cayman. This forced him to sit out the final race of the season, which he ultimately concludes with three overall podium finishes to his name.

Two-time Clubsport class podium finisher Alister Weston brought his season to an end with more consistent results across the final six races. Solid performances in his unique dinosaur-liveried Cayman saw him finish fourth in class in each, to ultimately end up fourth in the class points standings.

At Silverstone meanwhile, an injury for regular driver Felix Livesey led to the team’s driver coach Josh Smith making a last-minute debut in the championship. He put in an excellent performance, gaining 13 places across the three races as he fought his way to a great pair of fifth place finishes overall.

Christopher Richards – Team Principal: “It’s been another great season for the team in the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB. It’s a fantastic championship and we’ve been blessed to have some top drivers competing with us this year, combining to secure 16 podium finishes over the season.

“For James [Seale] to end the season with seven podium finishes in the last eight races perfectly highlights the progression he’s made across his first Porsche campaign. He is a very talented driver at such a young age and we’re excited to see what the future holds for him.

“It was a shame to see the season end the way it did for Sam [Harvey], with a big accident completing out of his control. We’ve enjoyed five years of racing together now and he put in some brilliant performances for us again this season, with a lot of bad luck sadly costing him more silverware.

“We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our first season racing with Alister [Weston]. He’s made great steps forward with us and has been incredibly consistent over the second half of the season. He should be proud of the podium finishes he achieved and performances he put in this year.

“We were gutted that Felix [Livesey] had to miss out on his last planned appearance with us. Josh [Smith] dived straight into qualifying at Silverstone and went on to excel across all three races, making more progress up the order than any other driver on the grid.

“We’ve enjoyed going racing with the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4’s over the last four years and will be sad to see them go. The championship enters an exciting new era next season though with the Porsche 911 Challenge and we look forward to getting to grips with the new car.”

Xentek Motorsport plan to return for their fifth consecutive season in the Porsche Carwow Sprint Challenge GB in 2027 and will soon be taking delivery of their first Porsche 911 Challenge car. They will be completing a number of test days in the car for prospective drivers, and invite any interested parties to get in touch for more information.
