Xentek Motorsport have secured their maiden overall race victories in the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB as part of a tremendous haul of five class wins from the penultimate round of the season at Silverstone this past weekend (20/21 September).

The South Yorkshire team enjoyed a dream weekend at the ‘Home of British Motor Racing’, as Sam Harvey charged to his first overall race wins in Porsche racing, while Hannah Chapman continued her CS AM class title challenge with a perfect hat-trick of victories.

Harvey headed into the event in fantastic form, having picked up RS PRO class podium finishes in each of the last two events at Oulton Park and Knockhill. He carried that momentum into the latest triple-header around the 1.64-mile Silverstone National circuit.

The Ginetta graduate got his weekend off to the perfect start, topping the timesheets in qualifying for his maiden Porsche pole position. The opening race proved to be a lottery though, as a rain shower on the eve of the start led to a tricky decision between wet and slick tyres.

A choice of wet tyres was set to be the right call, however a long red flag delay allowed the track to dry. The race therefore played out in favour of those who had gambled on slicks, but Harvey battled it out well to secure some good points with fourth in the RS PRO class.

Starting second on the grid for race two, Harvey kept out of trouble during a chaotic opening lap and grabbed the race lead. That proved to be decisive as the red flags came out at the end of lap two, and with the race not restarting, he emerged with his maiden win.

The West Midlands-based racer would therefore start on pole position for the final race of the weekend. He went on to produce the best drive of his Porsche career to date, soaking up race-long pressure from behind and perfectly executing a safety car restart en-route to a lights-to-flag victory.

Chapman meanwhile made the trip to Silverstone in high spirits after a brilliant victory hat-trick last time out at her home event at Knockhill. Those results took the championship leader’s tally to eight wins and 11 podium finishes from the 12 races to date.

The Millers Oils Brand Ambassador asserted her dominance on the CS AM class again on Saturday. After taking pole position for the third event in a row in qualifying, she put in a stunning drive in the opening race to streak away from her rivals to take the win by over 20 seconds.

Chapman converted pole into the win again in the shortened second race, before completing a second consecutive victory hat-trick with a faultless, 16-second success in the final encounter. Those results mean she will head into the season finale with a healthy 38-point championship lead.

Sarah-Jayne McKenna – Xentek Motorsport Team Manager: “Wow! What a weekend! This has without a doubt been our best ever weekend in the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB, and we couldn’t be prouder of the performances of Sam and Hannah on track, as well as every member of the team behind the scenes.

“Sam has been getting quicker every weekend, and this is the culmination of all of his hard work. He did a brilliant job in qualifying and after being unlucky in race one, he drove perfectly on Sunday. The final race was without a doubt his best performance so far and we’re over the moon for him.

“We’re running out of superlatives for how Hannah is driving at the moment. She was truly in control of the class throughout the weekend and that showed with two dominant winning margins. She’s in a great position in the championship battle and now it’s about bringing home the title at Brands Hatch.”

The 2025 Porsche Sprint Challenge GB season reaches its conclusion next month (04/05 October) on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit. That comes as part of a season finale double-header, with the Ginetta campaign also coming to an end on the same weekend at Donington Park.
